Fangtopia brings its monster kingdom puzzles to PS5 on October 26

What we know

Fangtopia will launch for PlayStation 5 on October 26, 2026. Absolutely Games’ puzzle title arrives in time for Halloween with a relaxed building premise: players assemble a monster-filled kingdom by placing tiles around a castle.

Each session takes place on a hexagonal grid. There is no timer for deciding where a tile should go, but the number of tiles is limited. Matching compatible terrain along tile edges earns points and progresses objectives that emerge during play, while scores also feed into the leaderboards. Players can undo any move if a placement does not work out.

The tile set includes fields, towns, mountains, forests, and railroads. Ghoulish mode adds rivers to the selection. Many tiles combine two terrain types, making their connections an important part of building the map and scoring points.

Landmarks, objectives, and creatures

As players earn points, Fangtopia offers landmarks to add to their kingdom. These pieces have individual objectives, and completing them grants new tiles for the player’s deck, allowing the world to keep growing. The landmark collection expands through play and can be examined in the Stickerbook.

Portals will also appear in the map’s oceans. Opening them brings in creatures including gremlins, werewolves, and banshees. Each creature has a natural habitat, and placing it in a suitable home rewards the player with bonus tiles. The announcement also says that creatures can be interacted with after they have been placed.

Fangtopia mode is intended for quicker sessions and includes the game’s core systems. For longer, more demanding runs, Ghoulish mode adds rivers, the ability to swap the tile selected for placement, and larger tile groups that must be played together. It also uses a larger tile stack.

Fangtopia will be available on PS5 on October 26, 2026. Secret Mode is listed alongside Absolutely Games in the official announcement.
