What we know

For Honor has launched Blood Hunt, Year 10 Season 3, expanding its competitive options while bringing Halloween-themed content to the game. The update launches Ranked Dominion on September 10 and brings Ranked Duel fully into the competitive ecosystem following its beta period.

Ranked matches retain the core rules of their regular counterparts, but introduce several competition-focused adjustments. The parry flash indicator is disabled, teams use a single-pick system that prevents duplicate Heroes on the same side, and gear perks are unavailable. Parties are limited to two players, with no more than 10 divisions between them.

Players need an account reputation of at least five to enter Ranked play. Completing one Ranked match then grants an initial rank. Progression is divided into Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Grandmaster, with five divisions within every rank.

Ranked Dominion will use a fixed map pool: Beachhead, Canyon, Cathedral, Citadel Gate, High Fort, Overwatch, Temple Garden, and Qiang Pass. Seasonal rewards will also be available for climbing the ladder. Reaching Gold awards a full armor set, while Diamond grants a weapon; both are assigned to a specific Hero that changes from season to season. For Season Zero, those items are for Warden. Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Grandmaster each also award an ornament, though players must finish five Ranked matches before they can access rewards.

Hero Skin and Battle Pass

Blood Hunt adds the Keeper of Chains, a new Hero Skin for Conqueror. In the season's story, Guljin sends the character on a hunt beyond Ashfeld's woods. The character's gear includes weapons marked with imagery tied to a dark mythical creature.

The Battle Pass includes the Grim Maiden and Grim Wyvern Mood Effects, the Grim Fate and Grim Monstrosity Battle Outfits, the Jack O’Smasher Execution, the Light the Way Traversal Emote, and the Grim Dance Ornament.

Two Halloween throwbacks

The season will bring back two Halloween events: Endless March and Spooky Slasher. Both feature three maps, dedicated leaderboards, and exclusive throwback weapons from past Halloween events. Defeating skeletons and demons will be important for moving up those leaderboards.

Endless March changes the standard 4v4 Dominion formula. Capturing zones A and C provides a one-time points bonus, rather than passively adding to a team's score while it holds them. Killing skeleton minions and opposing players is the main way to build points. To win, a team must reach at least 1,000 points and defeat every opponent during the breaking phase.

Spooky Slasher is another Dominion variant, replacing regular minions with durable, high-damage demonic pikemen and skeletons that are difficult to kill with basic attacks. Fighting inside a captured zone grants a temporary boost that makes clearing those minions more effective. Players can also gain that boost by defeating an opponent who currently has it, but lose it if they are taken down while it is active. Victory requires capturing zones and clearing the demonic minion waves.
