Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion Is Now Available on Nintendo Switch 2

Square Enix has released the Nintendo Switch 2 digital version today. A physical edition will follow on September 23, 2026, while the game’s digital editions have also received revised pricing.

What we know

Square Enix has released the digital Nintendo Switch 2 version of Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion today, September 10, 2026.

The company has also confirmed that a physical Nintendo Switch 2 edition will launch on September 23, 2026. Players who want the downloadable release can purchase it now, while the boxed version will arrive nearly two weeks later.

The announcement is accompanied by a Switch 2 trailer and revised prices for existing digital editions. Square Enix says the downloadable Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition have both been repriced, with specific prices available through the relevant regional stores.

A renewed version of Crisis Core

Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion updates the original game with HD graphics and rebuilt 3D models for its characters and other assets. It also includes full voice acting and newly arranged music for the story leading into Final Fantasy VII.

Alongside Nintendo Switch 2, Square Enix lists the game for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam.
