Bill Skarsgård to Lead Kojima Productions’ Action-Espionage Game PHYSINT

Kojima Productions has confirmed that Swedish actor and producer Bill Skarsgård will play the lead role in PHYSINT, its upcoming action-espionage game. Hideo Kojima revealed the casting during Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show 2026 broadcast.

The announcement was accompanied by a new poster for the project, featuring a photograph personally taken by Kojima of Skarsgård alongside Charlee Fraser. Fraser is part of an ensemble that also includes Don Lee and Minami Hamabe, with Kojima Productions promising additional casting news in the future.

Kojima said that he and Skarsgård had long admired each other’s work before deciding to work together. He added that costume fittings, scans, and camera tests involving Skarsgård and Fraser earlier this year gave him confidence in the project’s direction.

Xbox will publish PHYSINT, following an announcement from Xbox and Kojima Productions the previous week. The arrangement expands a relationship that already includes OD, while also covering film and television work intended to bring new stories to wider audiences.

Skarsgård’s reveal provides a clearer look at the talent set to bring PHYSINT to life, though no release date or additional platforms have been announced. During the same broadcast, Kojima also showed behind-the-scenes footage of Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer taking part in a performance-capture session for OD – KNOCK.
