Nintendo Shares Example Builds for Splatoon Raiders
Nintendo’s official guide explains how to combine tanks, gadgets, parts, powers, and weapons, while offering three setups for taking on Salmonids.

Nintendo has published a new build guide for Splatoon Raiders, focusing on the weapon and gadget combinations players can put together to fight waves of Salmonids.
The build system begins with a choice between Power, Speed, and Tactical tank types, each fitted with gadgets. Players can also use gadget parts with different effects, Relic Powers that provide broader buffs, and a chosen weapon with its own specific powers.
Nintendo’s central advice is to keep experimenting. According to the company, there is no single correct or incorrect setup: players can adjust their gear to find combinations they enjoy or take a different approach when a raid proves difficult.
Building stronger combinations
The guide encourages players to look for powers that stack. If a gadget part and a weapon share the same special ability, referred to as a power, equipping both produces a stronger version of that effect.
It also suggests pairing complementary effects. Nintendo’s example combines an ability that freezes enemies with another that deals additional damage to frozen targets.
Players can check their equipped parts by opening the Gear menu, navigating to the Gadget page, and pressing ZL. Nintendo notes that the button also has useful functions across the Weapon, Gadgets, and Relic Powers screens.
Since gear may be swapped often, builds can be saved for later. Pressing the – Button on the Gear screen lets players assign a combination to one of six available Presets.
Three example builds
Nintendo, through the Squid Research Lab, highlighted three sample setups:
Limitless Tether Wail: uses the Speed Tank’s agility to strengthen Tether Wail. The Reel 'Em In part draws in more Salmonids, allowing players to line them up and finish them off. Invincible Mitt: pairs Meteor Mitt’s high attack power with Dash Bomb’s Next-Gadget Damage part. Floaty Explosion: combines the Floaty Fun part with a Torqscrew before deploying a Shellacker against Salmonids. Bombloons can be scattered during Shellacker’s cooldown for further explosive attacks.
The official listing places Splatoon Raiders on Nintendo Switch 2 at a regular price of $49.99.
