The Rogue Prince of Persia Anniversary Update Adds Combat Zones and New Modes
The free Anniversary Update introduces combat arenas, weapons, tools, parkour adjustments, and a complete redesign of the Palace biome.

What we know
The Rogue Prince of Persia has received a major free Anniversary Update across all platforms. Developed by Evil Empire, the update adds combat zones, new gear, speed-oriented modes, and parkour changes that alter the pace of a run.
The new combat zones challenge players with waves of enemies that become tougher as they progress. The update also introduces a mechanic that can freeze and slow enemies.
Modes built around speed and parkour
The new Speed Run Mode includes built-in timers to track movement and route optimization. Parkour Mode, meanwhile, puts greater focus on wall-running, route selection, and agility.
The update also adds two weapons and four tools. One of the new tools works like a trap, helping players evade and take down enemies.
A tougher Palace
Evil Empire has adjusted parkour pacing and difficulty. Early biomes are now shorter, while the overall challenge has been raised. The Palace biome has also been completely rebuilt, with a substantially more demanding layout designed for the powerful late-game builds players can have by that point in a run.
The Rogue Prince of Persia follows the Prince as he tries to save his kingdom from invading Huns, battling enemies who wield dark magic while working to reclaim the capital. The game is available on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC through Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store, and is also included with Ubisoft+.
