Which subscriptions include it

Battlefield 6 joins the Xbox Game Pass library on Tuesday, October 13, as confirmed by Xbox Wire in its first batch of additions for the month. It will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud gaming for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members. The official post does not list it for Game Pass Premium or Essential.

On top of the game itself, EA Play members can unlock the EA Play Deployment Pack, claim the Season 5 EA Play Pack and earn recurring seasonal rewards. Game Pass Ultimate includes EA Play and 10% off eligible EA digital purchases.

The game launched on October 10, 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam, EA app and Epic Games Store), so it reaches Game Pass just after its first birthday. Nothing changes for PS5 players.

Siege of Vegas: two maps and four weapons

The arrival coincides with the start of Season 5, which EA describes as its biggest yet. Its first phase, Siege of Las Vegas, adds two maps: Vegas Strip, with casinos, luxury hotel interiors, crowded streets and underground storm drains, and Area 51, a military installation where tanks, helicopters and jets dominate the desert while a huge crater leads to an underground facility built for close-quarters fighting. A third map arrives later in the season.

The arsenal gains four weapons at launch: the Mk 24 assault rifle, the RSPR submachine gun, the Z84M light machine gun with a 100-round box magazine, and the ELR-40 bolt-action sniper rifle, built for extreme ranges.

Rapid Royale and more competition in REDSEC

REDSEC, the game's battle royale, debuts Rapid Royale in Las Vegas: shorter matches in Trios or Solos, with fewer players, high-value loot and a Ring of Fire that keeps squads moving. Eliminations earn redeploy tokens that let players get back into the match, although the number of kills needed rises as the game goes on.

A new Ranked battle royale season also begins and the REDSEC Open Series returns. The Elite Series follows later with a $1,338,000 global prize pool, while multiplayer adds leaderboards.

The schedule through December

From October 20 to November 7, a Halloween event brings Dead Space to Battlefield: a non-canon scenario beneath Area 51 with spaces adapted from the 2023 remake and its own cosmetics. Casino Heist arrives on November 10 with the infantry-focused European Casino map. On December 8, Frozen Aces adds Operation High Roller, Platoons, a server browser and updated versions of Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City.

Two more dates are worth noting: Gauntlet mode leaves on October 13 itself, and a Full Game Trial runs from October 15 to 19, subject to conditions.

What it means for subscribers

For anyone already paying for Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, this is the easiest moment to try Battlefield 6: it arrives with fresh content from day one and ten days before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23. Bear in mind that several games leave the service on October 15, including A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Pacific Drive.
