What we know

Ubisoft announced the launch on October 13 on its news channel, and Nintendo and Xbox Wire confirmed it the same day. The title packs hits from the 1970s through the 2020s into one product, with visuals and choreography tailored to each era.

It is playable now on Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Nintendo Switch 2 version launches on November 10; according to Nintendo, Switch owners can update to the Switch 2 edition for free that day (an internet connection is required).

Thirty-five songs across the decades

Ubisoft’s official list totals 35 tracks. Highlights include, in the 1970s, ABBA’s Mamma Mia; in the 1980s, RUN DMC’s It's Tricky and Billy Joel’s Uptown Girl; in the 1990s, Spice Girls’ Wannabe and Daft Punk’s Around the World; in the 2000s, Britney Spears’ Stronger, *NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye and Gorillaz’ Feel Good Inc.; in the 2010s, DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s Turn Down for What and Don Omar feat. Lucenzo’s Danza Kuduro; and in the 2020s, Sabrina Carpenter’s Manchild, Bad Bunny’s NUEVAYoL and Chappell Roan’s HOT TO GO!. The full list is on Ubisoft’s announcement.

Owners of Just Dance: Decades of Hits who also own Just Dance 2023 through 2026 can access all songs in one place, including purchased Music Packs and Just Dance+ tracks with an active subscription, without switching games or separate menus.

Party, Workout and Adventure Mode

Up to six players can dance locally using a phone as a controller, with no extra accessories required. Party Mode changes the rules every round; Workout Mode tracks calories burned. Each player can customise a profile with the new dancer card system.

Adventure Mode is the new narrative experience: when Dr. Gigavolt goes missing, his daughter Lyra travels through time to rescue him. There are six decade-themed worlds, mini-activities, exclusive rewards and era-defining songs. Nintendo and Ubisoft present this mode as exclusive to Decades of Hits.
