Nintendo Switch Online Adds Ninja Gaiden III, Ikari Warriors and R.C. Pro-Am II to Its NES Catalog

Nintendo has added three games to the Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Classics lineup for Nintendo Switch Online members: Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom, IKARI WARRIORS, and R.C. PRO-AM II.

The titles are available at no extra charge as part of a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Nintendo lists the NES collection alongside its Super NES and Game Boy classic-game offerings for subscribers.

Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom concludes the Ninja Gaiden trilogy, putting Ryu Hayabusa back in the fight against evil while he investigates who was truly responsible for Irene’s death.

IKARI WARRIORS, an action shooter originally released for NES in 1987, has players infiltrate an enemy base as Paul and Vince. Ammunition is limited, so players need to replenish it from defeated enemies, make use of power-ups, and take control of tanks and helicopters as they push through the base.

Meanwhile, R.C. PRO-AM II is the 1992 follow-up to the RC racing game. It features 24 tracks and supports races against computer-controlled vehicles or another player. Cash prizes earned between races can be spent on parts and upgrades at the R.C. Model Shop, while TUG O' TRUCK CHALLENGE and THE DRAG RACE offer additional chances to earn cash and championship points.

Nintendo notes that a Nintendo Switch Online membership and Nintendo Account are required for online features. Players without a membership can begin a seven-day free trial, which converts to a one-month automatically renewing membership at the current price unless it is canceled.
