How GTA VI's criminal profile works: professional, violent and consequential
GTA VI will track what kind of criminals Jason and Lucia become. The interface points to individual profiles, although Rockstar has not detailed every consequence.

What the interface actually shows
A small indicator appears beneath Jason and Lucia's portraits during the Extended Look. In the footage we examined it does not behave like a conventional morality bar: it is tied to each protagonist's identity and sits alongside other signals showing how the world records their crimes.
The press preview also describes police remembering a suspect's traits and forcing the protagonists to reduce the trail they leave. That is why we call it a criminal profile: it appears to collect information about who committed an offence and how they acted, rather than deciding whether a character is morally good or bad.

Jason and Lucia may build separate histories
The icon appears separately beneath each character, pointing to individual tracking. If that reading is correct, using Lucia in a loud robbery would not necessarily compromise Jason in the same way, especially when the pair can split up or take part in a mission from different positions.
That separation fits the freedom Rockstar has shown to switch between them, travel together or act alone. It could also give character switching a tactical purpose: it would change not only who we control, but which description and history the police recognise.
Professional or violent: method may matter
New tools allow players to prepare a crime more carefully: covering a face, checking a vehicle's security, entering without breaking a window or disposing of a compromised car. Each choice reduces witnesses and evidence. At the other extreme, open violence, an identified vehicle and recognised clothing make it easier for a pursuit to continue.
The system appears designed so the getaway begins before the first shot. Choosing a discreet entry may matter as much as driving well afterwards, while poor preparation could turn a small theft into a problem that follows the character for longer.
What is confirmed and what remains interpretation
It is confirmed that police can retain descriptions and that changing clothes or vehicles forms part of evasion. We have also seen separate indicators for the protagonists. Rockstar has not yet explained the system's official name, how long each record lasts or whether it affects prices, missions and relationships.
For now, it is safer to read the profile as a layer of identification and consequences rather than a direct equivalent of Red Dead Redemption 2's honour. That comparison is tempting, but the evidence shown is centred on crime, police investigation and the ability to erase a trail.
