What we know

Xbox has published its next weekly release lineup for September 21–25. The schedule spans Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC and Game Pass, with CONTROL Resonant, Dune: Awakening, EA SPORTS FC 27 and Graveyard Keeper 2 among the notable arrivals. Xbox notes that release dates are subject to change.

One of the week’s major releases is CONTROL Resonant, due on September 24. The sequel follows Dylan Faden, who emerges into a distorted Manhattan amid a paranatural crisis after years of confinement by the Federal Bureau of Control. Dylan must use his newfound abilities against a cosmic entity and other threats affecting the city, including the Hiss and the Mold. The game is listed as optimized for Xbox Series X|S and supports Xbox Play Anywhere.

Arriving earlier, on September 22, Dune: Awakening will be available through Game Pass and is optimized for Xbox Series X|S. The open-world survival adventure includes RPG elements and lets players explore Arrakis, build and craft. According to the listing, players can play alone, with friends on shared servers, or alongside hundreds of players on public servers, while the full game and its content are available in every mode.

Graveyard Keeper 2 also launches on September 22 and is optimized for Xbox Series X|S. The sequel casts players as the Grand Inquisitor, tasked with restoring a town and leading an undead army against a zombie apocalypse. Its systems include building and managing a medieval graveyard, gathering resources and human remains, creating machinery, and automating production.

Also joining Game Pass on September 22 is Well Dweller. This dark fairy-tale metroidvania follows Glimmer, a small bird wielding a matchstick who sets out to defeat a queen and save their family. It is listed with Xbox Series X|S optimization, Smart Delivery and Xbox Play Anywhere support.

More releases during the week

The September 23 lineup includes 3D platformer Garfield – Escape From Monday, tactical co-op game Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked, Lawn Mowing Simulator 2, portal and gravity puzzle game Nomori, vertical shoot ’em up BIRDCAGE, and first-person horror game I Hear Them.

On September 24, alongside CONTROL Resonant, Xbox lists Alien Breed 35th Anniversary, Ancient Farm, Beer Manufacture Simulator, Farming Camp, Heroes of Magic & Cards, Kalanoro, Laundering Simulator, The Relic: First Guardian, Sandwalkers, Seafarer: The Ship Sim, and The Trolley Solution, among other releases.

The schedule closes on September 25 with EA SPORTS FC 27, which will feature Smart Delivery and a free trial. The new entry introduces The Grounds, a social football space with activities ranging from casual kickabouts and one-on-one matches to playing with friends in Clubs. Xbox also highlights gameplay changes including dynamic corners, improved attacking awareness, and player-focused defending designed for competitive play.

Retro Cube Slider and Used Cars Simulator are also scheduled for that date. Across sports games and open-world releases to puzzle games, simulators and smaller independent titles, the week brings a broad set of new options to the Xbox ecosystem.
