Xbox Free Play Days Offers Madden NFL 27 for All and Five More Games from September 10–13

Xbox has announced a new Free Play Days lineup running from Thursday, September 10 through Sunday, September 13. Borderlands 4, F1 25 2026 Season Edition, Surviving Mars: Relaunched, and CarX Drift Racing Online will be playable over the weekend for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members.

The broadest-access offer this time is EA Sports Madden NFL 27. All Xbox members can try it for free across the same dates, with no Xbox Game Pass membership required.

Dustborn is also receiving a two-hour trial and a discount from September 10 to September 13.

What is included

Borderlands 4 takes players to Kairos as one of four new Vault Hunters, using Action Skills, skill trees, and movement abilities against the Timekeeper’s regime. The game is optimized for Xbox Series X|S.

F1 25 2026 Season Edition is also optimized for Xbox Series X|S and combines F1 25 with the 2026 Season Pack. It covers the 2025 season before allowing players to begin a new career with the 2026 teams.

Meanwhile, Surviving Mars: Relaunched focuses on building and managing a Martian colony through domes, resource management, and colonist survival. Xbox highlights the free Services & Science update, which adds a new research tree, as well as the Feeding the Future DLC, featuring new food-production systems, buildings, and crops.

CarX Drift Racing Online is a multiplayer drifting sandbox with a fleet of more than 100 cars, customization options, and community-made tracks available through online lobbies.

For Madden NFL 27, Xbox says the new Persona Engine makes Franchise a reactive league shaped by NFL athletes’ personalities, motivations, and demands. The game also features changes to wide receiver/defensive back battles, short-yardage play, defensive coverage, and pre-play strategic settings. It is optimized for Xbox Series X|S.

To begin downloading, players can find each title on its Xbox.com game page, where they must sign in to see the installation option tied to an eligible membership. On console, the Free Play Days collection is available through the Subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Players who purchase a game or another edition at a discounted price can keep playing while retaining the Gamerscore and achievements earned during the event. Xbox notes that discounts, discount amounts, and availability can differ by game and region.
