What we know

Until Dawn 2 will launch for PS5 on January 28, 2027 in Southeast Asia. Firesprite also confirmed that pre-orders for the Standard and Digital Deluxe editions will open on September 10.

The new installment follows the paranormal-investigation YouTube team Dead True as they head to Akishima Island with their chicken companion. Its story was created in partnership with AdHoc Studio, the team behind Dispatch, and will put decisions and character interactions at the center of outcomes, including potentially fatal ones for the cast.

The pre-order trailer sees the group investigating Blackwood Sanitorium while filming an episode about events that took place 12 years earlier. They are later drawn to Akishima, a remote South Pacific island left abandoned after a luxury resort mysteriously closed in the 1970s, following a warning from Yoona, who survived a supernatural attack.

The trailer highlights choices such as Owen’s decision to either follow a signal in search of his missing friend Nate or cross a rickety bridge to investigate a bar. Mina, meanwhile, is told to stage a ritual sacrifice live on camera. Players can sacrifice the chicken or release it and put Mina’s own blood at risk for the ritual.

Bonuses and editions

Dr. Hill returns in Until Dawn 2, and pre-ordering either the Standard or Digital Deluxe Edition will grant Dr. Hill-themed items:

A classic Until Dawn outfit. An Akishima Island holiday outfit. Dr. Hill collectible bobbleheads to find in-game.

The Digital Deluxe Edition additionally includes the Y2K Neon Vibes Pack, providing neon outfits for all eight Dead True members — Owen, Mina, Nate, Reagan, Izzy, Luke, Josie, and Cameron — plus Diorama of Death. The latter lets players revisit every fatal outcome through vignettes presenting different perspectives on each death.

For the listed Southeast Asian markets, the suggested retail price for the Standard Edition, available physically and digitally, is SGD 64, MYR 209, IDR 729,000, THB 1,690, PHP 3,023, or VND 1,249,000. The Digital Deluxe Edition is priced at SGD 77, MYR 249, IDR 879,000, or THB 1,990, depending on the listed market.
