Live TV on PS5 launches in the U.S. with more than 100 free channels
The new ad-supported experience arrives on PS5 today through the Media section, offering live channels and on-demand movies, sports, anime, news, and more.

What we know
Live TV on PS5 will become available later today for PS5 players in the United States. The free, ad-supported service from Sony Pictures Television brings together more than 100 live channels and a growing on-demand entertainment selection directly on the console.
The feature will be located in the PS5 Media section. To begin watching, users need to open that tab, select the Live TV on PS5 icon, and sign in with their PlayStation account.
At launch, the lineup spans movies, TV shows, anime, sports, news, weather, and creator programming. Sony notes that availability may differ by local television market and that the programming lineup can change over time.
Launch programming
Movie channels include MovieSphere by Lionsgate, 50 Cent Action, FilmRise Free Movies, Sony One Horror Hits, and Cinevault, covering action, horror, science fiction, and other genres.
The TV offering includes Community, The Shield, Hell’s Kitchen, The Walking Dead, Forensic Files, Unsolved Mysteries, Deal or No Deal USA, Fear Factor, and HISTORY’s Ice Road Truckers.
Anime programming will feature Naruto, Sailor Moon, Hunter x Hunter, and Death Note, alongside exclusive Crunchyroll channels focused on Black Clover and boxed-set programming.
Sports coverage includes programming from FOX Sports, NASCAR, NBC Sports Now, UFC, and others across MMA, football, hockey, motorsports, golf, boxing, and soccer. NBC News Now, Fox Weather, and LiveNOW from FOX are among the news and weather options.
The service also includes creator-led programming from Hot Ones, Spotify’s The Ringer, Futcrunch, and Idle Mode, as well as comedy, action sports, gaming, and esports content. Specialized programming includes the exclusive eCLUTCH channel.
Sony says Live TV on PS5 will be updated regularly with refreshed programming and additional channels. The company is considering an expansion to Canada and continues to explore other regions.
