Pre-ordering Modern Warfare 4 unlocks an ICR-1 blueprint in Call of Duty: Mobile

Activision is rewarding anyone who pre-orders any digital edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 before October 23 with the Shattered Relay design for the ICR-1 assault rifle in Call of Duty: Mobile. The key to getting it is using the same Activision account in both games.

What Shattered Relay is

Shattered Relay is a blueprint, meaning a weapon design, in black and gold for the ICR-1, a Call of Duty: Mobile assault rifle that Activision describes as one of the game's most dependable thanks to its low recoil and good accuracy at range. It was announced on October 12 on the official Call of Duty blog, and Xbox Wire picked it up the same day.

It is a pre-order reward that does not depend on the edition: both the Standard and the Vault Edition qualify, as long as the purchase is digital and on console or PC. Activision's announcement does not mention physical editions.

How to claim it, step by step

First, create or link your Activision account inside Call of Duty: Mobile if you have not already. Then pre-order any digital edition of Modern Warfare 4 before October 23; if you have already pre-ordered, there is nothing more to do at this stage.

The third step is the one people tend to forget: on October 23, launch day, sign in to Modern Warfare 4 as soon as you can. That registers your Activision ID for the reward. Finally, check the in-game mailbox in Call of Duty: Mobile, where the ICR-1 Shattered Relay will appear.

Activision stresses one detail: the Activision account you use to sign in to Modern Warfare 4 must be the same one linked to your Call of Duty: Mobile app. If you use different accounts, the reward will not arrive.

When it arrives and what to do if it doesn't

There is no need to worry if the design does not show up on launch day. Delivery happens in phases over a 30-day window that starts on October 30 and ends on November 30.

If you still do not have it by November 30 and you meet the requirements, you can ask Activision Support for help. The deadline for missing-item claims is December 31, 2026.

What else the Modern Warfare 4 pre-order includes

According to the same announcement, the digital Standard Edition includes Campaign Early Access from October 16, DMZ Early Access from October 20, the Hunter Killer Operator Skin, the Gilded Pearl Camo Pack and the Inner Circuit Weapon Blueprint, the latter for Modern Warfare 4 itself.

The digital Vault Edition adds the Hostile Alliance Operator Pack, the Special Forces Operator Pack, the Signature Weapon Collection, one season of BlackCell and a DMZ Deployment Bonus. Activision notes that early access dates may change and depend on time zones.
