What we know

Xbox and TCL have announced a partnership that will bring the Xbox app to select TCL Smart TVs in the coming months. The rollout is intended to reach millions of TCL TV users in more than 25 countries.

The app will provide direct access to Xbox Cloud Gaming on supported models. To get started, players will need a compatible TCL Smart TV, a supported controller, and cloud playtime included with Xbox Game Pass or purchased separately.

Eligible Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to stream supported games through the TV and receive an instant library of cloud-playable titles. Xbox says that library spans major releases, established franchises, and independent games.

The integration will also keep account features connected across the Xbox ecosystem. Games, friends, achievements, and saves will carry between a supported TCL TV, console, and PC, allowing players to continue a session on another device.

For owners of the selected TCL TVs, the addition creates another way to play Xbox titles and remain connected to their gaming community through the TV app.
