New on Xbox Oct 19–23: Modern Warfare 4, Final Fantasy Resonance and more
Next week is a busy one on Xbox. According to Xbox Wire's weekly roundup, more than twenty games arrive on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox on PC between Monday, October 19 and Friday, October 23, with two headliners at the end: Final Fantasy Resonance on Thursday the 22nd and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on Friday the 23rd.
Xbox Free Play Days: NBA 2K27, Crusader Kings III and more (Oct 15–18)
Xbox has announced its Free Play Days lineup for October 15–18, 2026. Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and Essential members can play several titles for free this weekend; NBA 2K27 Standard Edition joins a day later, and The Alters offers a three-hour timed trial for every player, with no Game Pass required.
ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20 available now: 20th anniversary edition
ASUS Republic of Gamers has put the ROG Xbox Ally X20 on sale — a special-edition handheld for ROG’s 20th anniversary (founded in 2006). Per ASUS Pressroom on October 15, 2026, it is available as a standalone device or in a premium accessory bundle. Xbox Wire confirmed availability the same day.
Xbox Nano Controller: smallest pad yet, $49.99 pre-orders open today
Xbox has introduced the Xbox Nano Controller, its smallest controller yet: a little over five inches long and just 3.5 ounces, with all 18 standard gameplay inputs, priced at $49.99. Pre-orders opened on October 14; availability begins in November across a long list of markets that includes Spain.
