Xbox details its Tokyo Game Show 2026 plans with broadcast, demos and FanFest
The company will air its presentation on September 17 and bring Minecraft Dungeons II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 to the Tokyo Game Show floor.

What we know
Xbox has outlined its Tokyo Game Show 2026 plans, including a special broadcast, Xbox FanFest activity in Japan, and playable show-floor demos for Minecraft Dungeons II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
The Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 Broadcast will air on Thursday, September 17 at 7:00 p.m. JST. Hosted by Misuzu Araki, the presentation will feature games coming to the platform this year, along with TGS-exclusive material, new gameplay, and segments made specifically for the event.
It will stream live through Tokyo Game Show’s official YouTube channel and Xbox’s channels. Viewers in Japan can watch Xbox Japan’s YouTube channel in 4K, while global audiences can tune in through Xbox’s YouTube and Twitch channels. The broadcast will also include American Sign Language interpretation and English audio descriptions.
Xbox will add support for a wide range of languages after the show, including Mexican Spanish and Castilian Spanish. Because the presentation’s audio will mix Japanese and English, the company advises viewers to enable captions in their preferred language.
Minecraft Dungeons II and Modern Warfare 4 demos
Minecraft Dungeons II will make its Tokyo Game Show show-floor debut following its gamescom reveal. It will be the first chance for attendees in Japan to play the next entry in the co-op dungeon crawler series. Xbox confirmed it will be available with Game Pass on day one, September 29, 2026.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, meanwhile, will appear at the event in partnership with Happinet. Visitors will be able to go hands-on with its multiplayer before the game’s global launch on October 23, 2026. Call of Duty will also be featured alongside other Xbox titles at Xbox FanFest Tokyo. Xbox will be located in Hall 6, booth 06-N4.
FanFest Japan is set for September 17
Xbox FanFest will stop in Japan on September 17. The event will include a watch party for the Tokyo Game Show broadcast, with Misuzu Araki and Larry Hyrb appearing as special guests, as well as exclusive experiences for members of the local community.
The company also unveiled its TGS 2026 campaign image, led by the black cat that has become an Xbox mascot at the Japanese event. Xbox said fans will soon be able to help choose the cat’s name through a social-media vote.
Xbox is positioning its Tokyo Game Show presence as part of its 25-year celebration and more than two decades in Japan. The company directs fans to #TGS2026 and @Xbox_JP for updates before, during, and after the show.
