Xbox Nano Controller: smallest pad yet, $49.99 pre-orders open today
Xbox has introduced the Xbox Nano Controller, its smallest controller yet: a little over five inches long and just 3.5 ounces, with all 18 standard gameplay inputs, priced at $49.99. Pre-orders opened on October 14; availability begins in November across a long list of markets that includes Spain.
What it is and who it's for
James Hunter, general manager of Xbox Accessories, frames it on Xbox Wire as a fit for younger players, smaller hands, or anyone who wants something portable beyond the living room. It keeps the familiar Xbox layout, adds a rechargeable battery and a programmable Action Button for shortcuts such as screenshots or gameplay capture, and supports Xbox Wireless plus Bluetooth for consoles and other compatible devices (including cloud gaming on supported TVs and hardware).
Price, pre-order and markets
The announced price is $49.99 USD. Pre-orders start on announcement day. Xbox Wire lists November availability in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Czechia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hong Kong SAR, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Trinidad & Tobago, the United Kingdom and the United States, with more markets to follow. Pricing and availability vary by country; Microsoft points players to the local Microsoft Store or authorized retailers. Outlets such as 9to5Toys confirm $49.99 pre-orders (including Amazon) and a November rollout.
